The lecture examined the strengths and weaknesses of the Essex economy, drawing on the Commission’s recent report.
Dr Andrew Sentance, Senior Economic Adviser to PwC, and Chair of the Essex Economic Commission, set out a challenging agenda for action that could enable the county’s economy to achieve stronger economic growth in the decade ahead.
The Essex Life and Economy Lecture series will bring together citizens, academics, policy-makers, businesses and a range of practitioners from different sectors of the economy and areas of social life in Essex. The lecture is organised by the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Essex, in collaboration with Essex County Council and the ESRC Business and Local Government Data Research Centre.
