The Centre is managed day-to-day by the Senior Management Team who are responsible
for the strategic direction of the Centre.  

Senior Management Team

The Senior Management Team consists of:

The Senior Management Team reports to the ESRC, which is accountable to the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills.

Project Approval Board

The Project Approval Board ensures that safeguarded and controlled datasets are only available to projects that meet the criteria that has been stipulated in the Data Depositors Agreement. The panel will be made up of a subset of the Advisory Board and optionally, representatives of the data depositor organisation. Depending upon the nature of the research project, and the datasets it will use, there could be several depositor representatives on the Board.



Data Acquisition Board

The Data Acquisition Board advises on the Centre’s data acquisition processes as well as new data collections that the Centre should acquire. The role of the Board is also to ensure the focus for data acquisition is still relevant to the aims of the Centre. It has a role in advancing the scientific agenda of the Centre by suggesting new areas which are worth enquiring. Current Acquisition board members are:

The operations of the Centre are also supported by an Advisory Board who offer guidance on data acquisition and ensure that the research outcomes inform the development of public policy. The Advisory Board has representatives from: Academia, data users, our external partners and members of the general public. Current Advisory Board Members are:

  • The Principal Investigator
  • All Co-investigators
  • The Project Manager
  • The Senior Data Manager

The Data Acquisition Board advises on the Centre’s data acquisition processes as well as new data collections that the Centre should acquire.
