Andrew is Professor of Value Chain Management at Norwich Business School he was previously Professor of Food Marketing and Value Chain Management and the Director of Master's in Value Chain Management at Kent Business School, University of Kent. From being the son of a pig farmer, Andrew graduated in French and economics from Kingston University in 1983. Andrew then studied for his PhD in agricultural economics at Newcastle University, where he spent six years as a lecturer in food marketing. In 1994 he moved to Wye College, University of London, where he established the Centre for Food Chain Research. In February 2005 he took up a position as principal research fellow at Kent Business School, University of Kent, where he established a strategic partnership with retail consultants, dunnhumby, to provide farmers and small food producers with access to crucial market and product insights using Tesco Clubcard data.
